No. Playing and hosting are free, forever — every game and the whole pack library, whether you host as a guest or with a free account, and players never pay. Optional plans (see Pricing) are extras for regular hosts and venues: ad-free nights, scheduled nights, room PINs, table QR codes and more.

No. Everyone scans the QR code on the host's screen (or types the 6-letter code at tipsyrounds.com) and plays in their phone's browser. Nothing to install, no accounts for players.

Tap Host a game, pick Trivia and one or more question packs, set the rating and how many questions, then put the QR code where everyone can see it. Players scan it with their phone camera, you tap Start, and TipsyRounds runs the questions, timer and scoring. Our free trivia night guide covers teams, rounds and prizes.

From 2–3 players up to 60 on one game night, solo or in teams. Tables can shout a table number and it becomes their team.

Not at all. Every game works with soft drinks, and content ratings go from PG family-friendly up to adults-only packs (18+), so the host decides what gets played.

Christmas trivia (movies, carols, traditions around the world), holiday editions of Most Likely To, Never Have I Ever and Two Truths & a Lie, plus office-party-safe PG packs for work events. Seasonal packs show up first when the holidays roll around.

Yes. With a free account you can build your own packs — great for birthdays, office quizzes or a bar's hometown round — and mix them with ours on the same night.

Yes. The questions and answer buttons appear on every player's own phone, so friends in other cities can join with the link and play along while you hang out on a video call.

Yes — bars, breweries and venues run weekly trivia nights on it. Schedule the night ahead, print a permanent table QR that always opens tonight's game, put the game on a TV with the free TV screen (tipsyrounds.com/tv), and everyone plays on their own phone. The Venue plan adds rewards, a venue TV and ad-free nights.

Yes. Open tipsyrounds.com/tv on a smart TV, a laptop on HDMI or a spare tablet, then tap "Connect a TV" on your host phone and type the code it shows — or tap 📺 Cast to send it to a Chromecast or Google TV without typing anything. The TV shows the join QR, questions, reveals and scores — never answers early, room PINs or anything private.

Only if the host lets them. Nights are open to anyone with the link by default; hosts on a plan can add a room PIN that changes every minute, Nearby only, or approve each player.
